Why 245 Old Country Road?

Relocating these various departments will provide many benefits to our organization:

  • Overall, the new building at 245 Old Country Road will allow CHS to secure a long-term space plan for IT and Continuing Care. Many of these groups have moved around a great deal in the past and will now have a place to develop and grow long-term.
  • On the whole, Melville is central to all CHS facilities and will give CHS a competitive, long-term base for a large number of our valuable personnel.
  • The building has expansion space provisioned for CHS to add a data center to support clinical information systems and future generations of the CHS information technology platform.
  • By moving to 245 Old Country Road, there will be additional space at the CHS Rockville Centre Corporate offices for other administrative use.
  • 245 Old Country Road will provide a centralized space for CHS and Continuing Care Executive offices. This will help unify operational culture and improve the ability of CHS's Continuing Care Division to meet new industry paradigms. Hospice, Long-term care and Home Health Care will be situated with leadership under one roof. The same unified operational culture will help CHS gain competitive advantages through improved communications and exchanges of ideas.
  • As a result of various groups relocating to 245 Old Country Road, Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, St. Francis Hospital, and Mercy Medical Center will have additional clinical space available for our patients.
